Effective date: 12 July 2026This Privacy Policy explains how Devem Abacus Training Institute, a division of Devem Learn LLP (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, discloses and safeguards information when you use the Devem Abacus mobile application (the “App”) and our related services and website (together, the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to this Policy.
The Devem Abacus App is an internal customer-relationship-management (CRM) tool used by authorised staff and instructors of Devem Abacus Training Institute to manage student inquiries, demo lectures, follow-ups and activity records across our centres. Access to the App requires a staff account issued by us.
When a staff account is created and used, we process your name, mobile number, assigned branch(es), role and authentication credentials in order to sign you in and operate the App.
Staff enter and manage records relating to prospective and enrolled students, which may include the student’s name, guardian details, contact number, inquiry source and status, notes, follow-up reminders and demo-lecture details.
The App allows staff to upload images (for example, demo-lecture photos and observations). These are captured with your device camera or chosen from your device gallery and uploaded to our servers.
We may automatically process limited technical information such as device type, operating-system version, app version, log data and timestamps to keep the Services secure and reliable.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
The App may request the following permissions on your device. You can grant or revoke these at any time in your device settings; some features may not work without them.
We share information only as needed to operate the Services:
We retain information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this Policy and to meet our legal, accounting and operational requirements. When no longer required, information is deleted or anonymised.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including access controls, authentication and encrypted transport (HTTPS) — to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is intended for use by our staff and instructors only and is not directed to children. While our programs serve children aged 4–14, any student information in the App is entered and managed solely by authorised adults for legitimate business purposes. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts or use the App.
Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, update or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
The Services may rely on third-party infrastructure and platforms (for example, application hosting and the Google Play distribution platform). Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, by additional notice. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
